Total fan, by AV Geiger

Youth summer readings are changing a lot. From the unforgettable Five we have moved on to more sophisticated and elaborate stories. We can find works of fantastic youth theme or science fiction, as well as narratives that address that teenage world. They are just two examples, but very representative of what there is.

But I don't mean to say that I see it badly. Quite the opposite. I wish there had been this literary offering in my early youth, I would have devoured it. Now, with summer almost upon us, it is always a good plan for our little ones to embark on these new literary proposals with very interesting voices.

In the book Fan Total, we delve into a story dreamed of by any teenager. A mass youth idol looks at the protagonist, Tessa, who contacts him through social networks, like so many followers. At first he considers her one more uncomfortable admirer, but little by little he establishes a special connection with her.

As I say, the dream of every teenager. But Eric Thorn can't figure out what he's getting into by getting emotionally involved with Tessa. She is not just a girl in love. Tessa harbors great secrets that will make the meeting a magical and dangerous space.

The touch of mystery fits perfectly into this story, driving the knot at a frenetic pace. And what more can we ask of a book for young people? If reading can now catch them with well-crafted stories, adjusted to their ages but without being simple pastry, we will be favoring a hobby that seems fundamental for them to become adults with critical thinking, with empathy and, why not say it, cultivated in the language.
