The starting stage of this novel exposes us to what we believe we are no longer. Our world starts from social coexistence, from cities, from institutionalized relationships, from official channels, from routines, from traffic lights and our cars ... What happens beyond any civilized environment seems to us something alien, a habitat in The one that we wouldn't last a day But we come from there, from the elements, and we still have something left, in fact we are animals hidden in reason.

So the thriller peeking into what we certainly are more in the background acquires a greater point of tension. But in a way, thrillers are also a good way to confront our media, to "suffer" a cursory approach to traumatic events. If we get a lesson from it, great.

Focusing on the narrative proposal, Joan and her son Lincoln are enjoying a day at the zoo. There is little left for them to close it but both take advantage of those last moments to have greater closeness and exclusivity with some of the animals. Mother and son communicate. The mother informs him as best she can about what she believes to associate with each attitude of the animals. The boy enjoys.

But when they are about to leave the zoo something surprises them. Joan understands that the only way to avoid danger is to go back inside and hide.

Do you remember the book Life of Pi? In any case, you would see the movie ...

Sorry to spoil you if you are not aware of Pi, but the comparison requires it ... In the last moments of the book we discover that the story that the protagonist told us about his survival in a boat with animals is actually a way of hiding how crude it is. it meant surviving the circumstances. The reason a story was invented to hide the most primitive survival instincts ...

Well, here the survival instincts really turn Joan into the zoo's lioness and they become the main plot, without hot cloths or fantasies. What Joan must do to keep her son and herself alive takes on an ancestral, atavistic tone. The modern human being turned into an animal again, in similar conditions with the rest of threatening beasts ...

Will the lioness survive? Will you safeguard your puppy's life? A spooky natural story in an urban setting. Fast-paced action and reading tension so you can never leave this plot.
