That erotic literature live a second youth is evident. The question would be to elucidate if at some point it has not been the case. Because the stories of falling in love, of intense closeness, have that gift of eternal youth, of vivifying passions and drives that seem to go dormant with the passing of the years.

And that's where the imagination takes care of acting as a placebo for passion and desire. A good story that borders on eroticism, sensuality and romanticism, always has everything to win before a reading public of this type of stories eager for new adventures from which to awaken that tingling of low passions.

If the plot is also capable of providing a balance in its most intellectual aspect, the narrative proposal takes flight in that compendium of the rational, of the taboos and of the emotional debauchery. It is no coincidence that the recent successes started with EL James and many other authors who took advantage of the erotic trail.

But it is that in the case of this first novel by Carrie blake, we find a new variant in the adventure of loves that come and go. It is fundamentally about the game to the limit between the rational and the fire of the passion of each one of the fleeting encounters.

Because Isabel Archer knows about that unfathomable brilliance of the first dates in which the world glows before the chemical connection of two people (whose encounters are favored, in a more prosaic way, in this case, by online dating houses). And it is those moments that give him a spark of almost gambling life.

Isabel enjoys the temptation of flirting. He disguises himself as the perfect woman before each of his suitors. Enjoy this blind infatuation, the spell that she knows how to create from a control space resulting from the meticulous study of each of her victims. An infallible analysis elaborated during the fundamental first moments of all their encounters.

As we meet Isabel Archer, we are fascinated with that kind of power, that trick based underground in the analytical but that ends up establishing her as the perfect woman, the better half that no man wants to lose. Until, suddenly, Isabel vanishes from the life of her latest victim.

But like any game at the limit, love made bet can turn into a Russian roulette full of bullets. On the table, in front of Mathew, something different happens, the click of the last shot ended up exploding on Isabel, leaving an intense reverberation that will prevent her from thinking about anything else. At that moment she will know that in her last game against Mathew she was surely not the one who loaded the gun. And there is nothing worse than knowing yourself to be a loser in the love dispute.
