Female narrative, how fed up with the tagline ... Something similar happened to me when I read the official promo of the novel An Imperfect Family, by the great author Pepa Roma.

There may be literary genres, of course! I agree. But calling a type of narrative feminine is as clumsy on the part of a publisher as calling a Woody Allen film a film for intellectuals.

Seriously, the label thing goes to an extreme on many occasions ...

What I'm going ... In this book A mysterious inheritance We get into the role of Jane Willoughby, a kind of bailiff who is tasked with finding the owners of a mysterious abandoned bank safe.

The box in question, in addition to various documentation, houses some pieces of jewelry of great value. Jane takes as a priority issue in her life the location of the woman who appears in some of the photos that appear among the documentation of the box.

Helping her in this arduous task is Phillip Lawton, an appraiser for Christie's. Between them, they end up naming the face in the photo and delve into the vital future of the mysterious woman. From America to Europe, the journey towards the knowledge of that woman, already signed as Marguerite Wallace Pearson, moves them on an initiatory journey towards the old continent and its dark past of the Second World War.

A trip full of surprises that will become a momentous moment in the lives of both trackers. Jane and Phillip will never be the same again.
