Top 3 Matthew McConaughey Movies

Coming to good old Matthew McConaughey (I will confess that I had to copy his last name from Google), there is no choice but to point him out as the luckiest guy in the world to star in Interstellar, the science fiction movie capable of giving a surprise to the big movie of Kubrick "2001, A Space Odyssey". But it would not be fair if he omitted his merits to reach Christopher Nolan's eyes as the perfect actor for such an assignment.

In McConaughey's credit before the great milestone mentioned above, and also after it, we find interpretations charged with that tension made rictus, an ability to take all his characters to the extreme as if life depended on it. No doubt that intensity will weigh heavily on Nolan's decision. After the kid has his charm, you also have to consider it. Because let's not fool ourselves, the cinema is image and to ignore that the handsome men and women have more options, it would be stupid not to assume it.

By not lavish himself excessively on a great filmography (the eagerness with which he gets under each skin must be exhausting), Matthew also manages to arouse concern among his loyal fans. Each new film where this actor appears in the cast has a percentage of the box office earned simply waiting for that good work, a gift of mimicry not assumed at all and if perfectly worked down to the smallest detail.

Interstellar

AVAILABLE ON ANY OF THESE PLATFORMS:

One of those films discovered as great productions, but that point to classics of great cinema, whatever their genre. Scripted by Nolan himself along with his brother Jonathan Nolan, it soon appears as a work perfectly conceived from its beginning as a story for film sequences. Planet Earth and the journey; the past, the present and the future as comings and goings in a whole that fits together like links that chain the cosmos, the planes, the vectors...

New planets where everything happens to the rhythm of its own oscillations on that vast black background, wormholes that guide us through funnels towards infinity. Meanwhile ... or rather while everything, the Earth is dying and only astronauts skirting impossible planes near Saturn may be able to find a new home for humans. Matthew McConaughey with a weight on their shoulders of responsibility that goes from the survival of human civilization to the last knot that unites parents with children. From humanity on the wire to the relationship between father and daughter on either side of space-time. Matthew McConaughey is the chosen astronaut with that soul-shrinking drama when he receives messages from his daughter from HOME.

The gaps regarding the impossible return of Joseph Cooper, once his ship was destroyed, are resolved with an intervention attributable to the creator of the Universe. Because the turbulent ejection that allows Joseph to appear on the Space Station, something like Noah's Ark, from which new colonizations of habitable planets can now be proposed on one side or the other of Gargantua.

The journey ends almost as it begins. Because the time depends only on where you are. Only in the indefinable interim a message arrived on time from an old clock capable of transmitting much more than the time. The personal is irreparable for the astronaut in charge of saving humanity. And maybe that was the only thing that was worth it. But losses are only defeats when there are no new horizons or new places to colonize between one or a million moons.

Contact

AVAILABLE ON ANY OF THESE PLATFORMS:

Matthew's destiny as a great actor in Interstellar may also find some kind of justification here. In this film about alien contacts, Matthew got metaphysical and transcendental, peering into religion and science as a possible synthesis. As you can see, it was no small feat and perhaps in that location, above good and evil, the long-suffering astronaut who would arrive later in Interstellar was taking shape. Something like a Jesus Christ with the task of saving the world again.

As for the development of this movie, the role of Jodie Foster has much more weight. And in many moments Matthew's obstacles to her drive us crazy. But it was her role and precisely for that reason she fulfilled it wonderfully. Following the untimely death of her parents as a child, Eleanor Arroway lost faith in God. In return, she has put all her faith in research: she works with a group of scientists who analyze radio waves from outer space in order to find signs of extraterrestrial intelligence. Her work is rewarded when she detects an unknown signal that appears to contain the manufacturing instructions for a machine that would allow her to meet with the authors of the message.

The Innocent

AVAILABLE ON ANY OF THESE PLATFORMS:

An overflowing argument of tension that embodied by Matthew still reaches higher levels of suspense. Michael Haller is a successful lawyer (so far Matthew exhibits his gallant looks without major implications). A new case is presented to him as one more matter with which to border on ethics in search of professional revenue among powerful clients.

But the matter becomes darker and darker as the lawyer begins to understand the case and the personality of a client who entangles him in an unavoidable trap. The matter seems lost and the lawyer seems to recognize the raw defeat and what is worse, the feeling that he has been deceived and pushed towards disaster.

One of the best twists in terms of judicial thrillers. A masterful game of masks in which everyone changes, from the accused to Matthew himself. The typical movie that you can't stop watching and that even makes you sweat. Close-ups of Matthew to give us that aforementioned ability to take on all the tension in the world. Steps straight into the abyss on a tightrope and strong winds... can Matthew really get out of this?
