There are times when that man who was surrounded by idiots has been each and every one of us. These are moments in which, in the end, we discover that we are driving on a highway where the only ones in the wrong are ourselves. And logically the consequences could be that we stamped ourselves ..., taking another softer metaphor, with incomprehension.

But the reason is what you have. Our reason is the great defender of all our causes, from the most unusual to the most objective.

And here we come to the heart of the matter. Not all of them are as stupid as they seem, nor is the point of whipping ourselves considering that we must be the ones who show off our chronic stolidity.

What Thomas Erikson raises for us in this book is the relationship we establish between SUBJECTIVITY - REALITY - OBJECTIVITY, all of it facing communication and the form of communication. The light of the example, of the multitudes of examples that are presented to us in this book will help us to review our own vices when communicating as well as to detect vices outside the issuer of messages that we have in front of (understood from your wife or children to your boss, passing by the bureaucrat at window 4 who tries to understand what you explain)

Repairing various aspects of communication, especially dialogue, can help us to better emit and receive all kinds of messages. Bearing in mind that reality is a sum of subjectivities determined to impose themselves on each other, it will help us in that ideal of empathizing, understanding and transmitting in the best possible way everything we want to make known.

And then the light may finally be made, and all those idiots will have disappeared from your distorted perception of reality. Because of course, someone as smart as you cannot spend all his life trying to understand you with idiots, because you would end up being one of them ... 🙂
