It is was remains. The humor. And from that Jonas jonasson knows a lot. His vision of the ridiculous places him at the antipodes of the trends of Swedish literature in particular and Nordic in general. And acting as a counterpoint, sailing against the current also has its rewards at times ...

On this occasion the author allows himself the luxury precisely of entering a noir in which almost all his current compatriots ramble on the limits of good and evil with their unsuspected criminals. But the matter ends up being tangential, a glancing pass that serves to stage yet another part of the grotesque northern version.

Human vanity has a great humorous component. Because in that search for the solution that is for our most clinging desires, the miseries of modern ambitions take hold of our soul like a capricious, childish demon. From there, everything that happens with the protagonists of this story takes us into the hilarious notion of life given to increasingly prefabricated desires ...

Synopsis

Victor Svensson, an ambitious and unscrupulous guy, marries the daughter of a billionaire gallery owner in the last moments of his life. When the man dies, Victor cheats on his wife and manages to take over the business and finally see his cravings for money and power fulfilled.

However, the appearance on the scene of a bastard son of Victor, the fruit of an old relationship, could derail his plans, and he is not willing to allow it. From this point on, a hilarious plot of entanglements develops that amazingly mixes the reality of the Maasai tribes, the work of the painter Irma Stern, the figure of Hitler and the role of art in shaping their destiny and, above all, all, the thirst for revenge of a young man with nothing to lose.
