The 3 best books by Lee Child

Actually Lee Child es Jim Grant. I'm sorry to reveal it to you if you didn't already know. What I don't quite understand is the need to adopt a pseudonym. Jim Grant is short and powerful enough..., but well, whims of the authors or perhaps a kind of necessity to subject his identity to some kind of creative freedom that only a pseudonym can achieve. Popularly, there is talk of entirely anecdotal aspects for the configuration of this alias. Anyway, welcome Lee Child.

The point is that we are before a notable author of detective novels or mystery, with elaborate plots and good plot twists, those that are based on underlying motives that always escape the first reading but that have been there, waiting to be correctly interpreted by the reader.

His star character Jack Reacher dazzles his readers thanks to his adventures on the edge of the precipice between modern espionage systems, assassination attempts and intelligence agencies. Jack Reacher would be a postmodern Sherlock Holmes, in charge of unraveling evil wherever it emerges with that fluidity that it does from mafias to power, from the most ominous leaders to the rest of the world.

The panorama seen in the Reacher world is that of a continuous global conflict that is finding dangerous escape points. The pressure cooker of international politics, diplomacy and armies sometimes eager to recover the noise of weapons.

Like a fox locked in the henhouse, Jack Reacher moves restlessly and disoriented, glancing behind him as the search for the sniper continues. The unfathomable heroes of espionage, the great investigators of the greatest international conspiracies against the established order, always end up seeking the peace of anonymity.

After carrying out missions in which danger could loom even in a light sleep, the gray of the crowd seems like the best of vacations. Jack Reacher goes unnoticed in Portland until Francesc Neagley finds him and warns him of the risk he and other agents face.

Only by rejoining will they be able to face that indeterminate threat. There are many who may have reasons for wanting to eliminate this group of international evil fighting agents.

Reacher's group meets in Las Vegas, where they will see that terrorism has big plans, considering as a first step eliminating those who could stand up to them.

From here the famous movie starring Tom Cruise was born. The perfect murder may be the one hidden in a massacre.

If you indiscriminately kill a group of citizens, it will matter little to determine that only one of them could have been the real target. In the eyes of the police, the case falls into place quickly and the blame is quickly placed on the sniper without further delay.

But not everything fits in the unequivocal way to which the facts point. The testimony of the alleged murderer ends up disconcerting more seasoned investigators who corner him until he ends up revealing another very different reality. Jack Reacher will study the case with his usual cunning.

Knowing how he is of the modus operandi of evil, he will be able to detect the anomaly in the casuistry of the fateful events. Suddenly the perfect makes waters, nothing fits as it seemed to do at first.

A new case opens for Jack Reacher, something so perverse that he is capable of taking innocent lives in cold blood in a quiet city to hide a transcendent mission ...
