The 3 best books by Frank Schatzing

In the world of best sellers there are always authors who come and go. Hitting a novel with a novel does not ensure continuity in the limbo of authors who can dedicate themselves professionally to writing.. A bestseller can lead to a worstseller for the immediate subsequent work. Luck, success with the theme and acceptance of the reading public are not always safe formulas.

Frank schatzing He is a good writer, he demonstrated it with his novel The Fifth Day, a plot about the future of our planet Earth, a planet that perhaps has a lot to say in our evolution, thanks to an autonomous capacity to discard everything that violates or harms it. transform…

But beyond this novel halfway between the science fiction and ecological awareness, Schatzing novels they move between black themes with very lively dynamics. What has been adjusted to the parameters of today's best seller. Let's go there with my three recommendations from this author.

Top 3 Recommended Novels by Frank Schatzing

The fifth day

God dedicated the fifth day of creation to filling the oceans and skies of planet Earth with life. And he left the destinies of so many different types of life to the free will of this planet.

But, it could be that a certain harmony is imposed on that free will, an ability of the Earth to ensure its survival as God created it. The seas and oceans are not spaces completely known to man...

Summary: The unknown rebels. A fight against the clock to save humanity A fisherman disappears in Peru, without a trace. Norwegian oil company experts come across strange organisms occupying hundreds of square kilometers of the seabed.

Meanwhile, off the coast of British Columbia, a disturbing change in whale behavior is beginning to be observed. None of this seems to have a common cause.

But Sigur Johanson, a biologist and foodie, does not believe in coincidences. Also the Indian whale researcher Leon Anawak comes to a disturbing conclusion: a catastrophe is about to happen. The search for the cause will confront you with your worst nightmares.

The fifth day

Without fear

Being a best-selling author and daring to put out a book of short stories confers a certain aspect of risk. Novel readers tend to be very purists in their reading tastes.

Bedside books to pick up a story every night before going to sleep. But it turned out well, and the book was highly valued, thanks to the magnetic mystery of each proposal in the volume.

Summary: With a classic cut, the thirteen stories included in this volume transport us to a world of darkness full of mystery, popular folklore and also a sharp and fine black humor.

The mafia, revenge and death are some of the themes of these stories that, thanks to the author's pen, tell much more than it seems and make us discover things in our immediate environment that we did not know. Frank Schätzing guarantees us chills, social criticism and a subtle smile on his lips in this work.

Without fear

Limit

If something works, why change? Science fiction with a desire to raise awareness. Hypotheses about the future of our civilization in a limited world like our planet. Summary: What relationship do we have with the world around us?

As he did in his shocking novel The Fifth Day, the masterful author Frank Schätzing once again surprises us with Límite, his new and long-awaited novel. In the near future, the earth's energy resources have undergone a radical transformation.

Traditional supplies have almost run out and man has settled on the moon to extract an alternative fuel, highly energy efficient and harmless to the environment.

This is the starting point of Límite, a dynamic, fast-paced novel, full of suspense and with a cinematic rhythm. The result of rigorous scientific research, and with a marked ecological accent, Frank Schätzing invites the reader to break down their mental barriers and enjoy without limits this monumental thriller of furious relevance that will not leave anyone indifferent.

    • I am not aware. But with so much work by this author still pending its passage into English, it is normal that it costs its translation into Spanish.

  2. The fifth day was a before and after for me, not only because of the ecological epic that it poses so imaginative and real, but also because I discovered an author with such a personal writing style that I find it magnetic. I savor every page I read. The last time I read anything about him it was Limit, wonderful. But I have not seen that they have republished anything else of him neither in Castilian nor in English. I even asked Editorial Planeta if they planned to launch any of his books, obviously without an answer. I wish I knew German.

      • Many thanks juan. The truth is that I have also read those that appear on Amazon. I've been looking and there are a couple of books, "Breaking News" and another that has won this year, both in German. Although the title of the first is English, the book is written in German. The one he released this year has a title in German that I think comes to be translated something like "The Curse of the Butterfly." The thing is, neither of these two is even in English. I wish I knew German!
