The 3 best books of Santa Montefiore

In hands of Saint Montefiore el romantic gender achieves a translation from the eighteenth-century inspiration of this type of literature to more recent times or even to the present day. Because his characters in the first instance live from that idealized love but punished by the circumstances, in addition to surrounding them with a scenography taken from the natural to the bucolic.

Perhaps it is due to his particular childhood and early youth surrounded by nature. The point is that from her personal baggage, the good Santa dazzles readers around the world with lively plots; with the haunting sensation of love in search of its final resolution as a paradigm of good against evil. A great author who is gaining followers with a growing bibliography, with individual novels and recent series that are lavished with historical and epic tints of a still recent world from which she brings us unsuspected aromas of the essentially human.

In The Shadow Of The Ombú

For many, the ombú is a magical tree. But like all the wonderful things in this universe, its true magic lies not so much in the obvious, as in what the eyes and hearts of some privileged are capable of perceiving hidden behind their appearance. That was the case of Sofía Solanas de O'Dwyer, who since she was little had entrusted to the protective figure of the ombú her childhood dreams, her first wishes, the beginning of her great love and, unfortunately, also the beginning of her particular tragedy.

Daughter of an Argentine farmer and an Irish Catholic, Sofía never thought that she would have to leave the fields of Santa Catalina. Or perhaps, simply, in the face of so much illusion and beauty, she could never imagine that her strong character would lead her to make the biggest mistakes of her life and that those mistakes would take her away from her land forever. But now Sofia has returned and, with her return, the past seems to come to life. But will what could not be so many years ago finally happen? Perhaps only with that trip Sofia will be able to regain peace and close the circle of her existence.

Songs of love and war

The takeoff of a saga with which the author reinvigorates herself with a framework between historical fiction and the most epic romantic. The course of their lives was laid out in advance, but love and war would change everything.

Deverill Castle, nestled in the winding hills of Ireland, is home to three very different women: the red-haired Kitty Deverill, her best friend and daughter of the castle's cook, Bridie Doyle, and her flamboyant English cousin, Celia Deverill. When war breaks out, their lives change forever.

Separated by betrayal, their world reduced to ashes and dragged to very different places on the globe, their friendship seems doomed to be forgotten. But all three have one thing in common: a constant and passionate longing for Deverill Castle and all the memories it contains.

Only from disenchantment or boredom can the sensation of life rushing through the veins end up arriving, as a wonderful contrast ...

When one day he discovers a handful of letters addressed to his mother by an aunt Peg, whose existence until then he did not know, he decides to flee.

What better place to break all contact with the past than the imposing landscape of Connemara? But behind the wild beauty of that lost corner of Ireland hides a mystery that seems impossible to unravel. Like the dark and lonely presence of Conor Macausland, a man devastated by the tragic death of his wife Caitlin at the old lighthouse.

The chance meeting between Ellen and Conor creates a very special connection that is impossible to ignore, but Ellen soon realizes that Conor's past is not what it seems, and that his own family also has secrets in his past. 1. Good morning
My name is Natalia Moderc Wahlström. I discovered Santa when I lived in England.
The first book of hers that I read was "The Secrets of the Lighthouse" and I really liked it.
I agree with you that another of the best is "Under the shadow of the ombu", which was the first one he wrote.
She has been my great inspiration to start writing.
I have two published novels, both translated into English.
"The heiress of the five suns", in English and is called "the heiress to the five suns".
The other is "The absent daughter" which will go on sale very soon in English with the title "She's still missing."
A pleasure to write on this blog.
