Hallucinate with the 3 best novels by Nora Roberts

If there is a writer capable of combining genres as diverse as the romanticscience fiction, the policeman or the of mistery, that is Nora roberts. And I don't think it's an easy thing, because the pink genre, always accused of lightness and frivolity, seems condemned to devour in its naive setting any alternative proposal between love and heartbreak.

Although it is also true that on many occasions its two creative aspects are dissected between its different pseudonyms. Thus, it is very curious how Nora Roberts can attract readers from a niche market associated with the romantic and the pink, while JD Roob it is his particular transformation into Mr. Hyde, under whose signature he can write police, black or even science fiction.

So much credit to this American author who, for greater glory, has one of the most extensive bibliographies of the world literary scene in all history.

Faced with this scenario, stay with your three most representative works or, that to a greater extent they have provided me with a gratifying reading, it will be an incomplete opinion, but I would like to complete my already extensive list of authors through the prism of my particular ranking, so here I go.

Legacy

Nora Roberts' romances have that point of modern, urban history, where everyone can expand their imagination towards romantic loves of the 21st century. And thanks to stories like this, every neighbor's child looks into the passions of her own existence with the firm conviction that it is still possible to recover the spark. But good Nora does not stop only at the kinder part of stereotypical pink love affairs of today's style. The point in her work is to discover new edges that complement the plot to add other types of tensions unsuspected in the first instance...

Adrian Rizzo is a self-made woman: owner of her own fitness brand, enjoying a comfortable life in New York City. When she begins to receive threatening anonymous poems, she blames it on the envy that her success arouses in some people.

Moving to the small town of Traveler's Creek to take care of her grandfather, Adrian is reunited with Raylan, a childhood friend who still has the same intense green eyes she remembers. But from that moment on, her threats increase and seem to point to a motive far more deadly than envy: revenge. The past is about to knock on Adrian's door, and only if she stands up to it can she get her happy ending.

Aurora borealis

We started with one of those mixed novels. Nate Burke, a peace-seeking police officer in a remote Alaskan town, ends up finding a bright northern lights in Meg's eyes. But that look hides something else, the one that may turn out to be the biggest enigma that good old Nate has to solve.

Lunacy, Alaska (population 506) was Nate Burke's last chance. As a police officer in Baltimore he had seen his partner die, and his guilt still plagued him. Maybe working as a police chief in that tiny, remote town, where it gets dark in the middle of the afternoon and the temperature drops to freezing, could bring him some relief.

Aside from stopping a race between a couple of cars and a moose, and splitting up two brothers arguing over which was the best John Wayne movie, Nate's first weeks on the job were relatively uneventful. Just when he was wondering if it wasn't all a big mistake, an unexpected kiss from pilot Meg Galloway under the bright northern lights of the Alaskan sky lifts his spirits and convinces him to stay a little longer.

Born and raised in Lunacy, Meg has learned to be independent, but there is something about Nate's sad eyes that gets under her skin and warms her icy heart. Also, when two mountaineers find a corpse on the mountain, Nate discovers that Lunacy is not the little haven of tranquility that he had imagined ...

There is always tomorrow

An interesting love story, of melancholic, romantic love that presents a new opportunity to good old Beckett. Clare was always the girl he wanted to woo and never could. Their lives are now completely estranged and Beckett's defeat is renewed each time it is encountered. But perhaps when they are further apart they end up attracting each other like two poles.

The historic Boonsboro Hotel has weathered times of war and peace, changes in ownership and even rumors of being haunted. Now, the hotel is undergoing a complete remodel at the hands of the three Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. The social life of Beckett, the family architect, consists mostly of talking about work while he eats pizza and drinks beer.

But this time Beckett's attention is not entirely focused on the renovations: he is distracted by a girl, the same one he has wanted to kiss since he was sixteen. After losing her husband, Clare Brewster focuses on her three children while running the town's bookstore.

The children don't give her time to think about love, but Clare is fascinated by the transformation of the old hotel that Beckett is undergoing and will want to take a closer look… the building and the man behind the designs. The grand opening is approaching, and Beckett is happy to show Clare the hotel.

He shows her a different room each time, as long as the two of them find some free time between project meetings and picking up the kids from school. There is never a first date, but these stolen moments are the beginning of something that could awaken a secret desire that sleeps in Clare's independent heart and that opens the door to the extraordinary adventure of what comes next ...
