It is curious, but we can find many books of stories that are presented to us with rimbonbantes titles, elongated, intentionally stretched, as if wanting to compensate for their shorter subject matter. It occurs to me that of Oscar Sipan "I would like to have the voice of Leonard Cohen to ask you to leave" or "I would like someone to wait for me somewhere", by Anna Gavalda.

It must be a matter of the times, of trends ... Or it is simply a matter of giving due importance to each of those small but brilliant stories, because there are writers who make their stories shine, as is the case of the aforementioned and, for course of Patrick Pron.

The well understood story offers many possibilities to transmit or to compose simple but exquisite or complex but brilliantly metaphorical stories.

The brief has an I don't know what of predestination, of approach to the evidence of what is going to be told already in the first words ..., perhaps that is where that need to give packaging to the title comes.

And yet the story gives off another aroma different from the novel. It is not due so much to prose and can succumb to the lyrical or the dreamlike. The characters act with the comfort of the brief or succumb to an impromptu performance that does not expect a specially nuanced ending.

El story as genre it is mostly open, tending towards assumption and rambling, like an aperitif that is enjoyed with greater pleasure than a gargantuan menu of hundreds of pages.

So it is not always easy to write a story for every writer. Virtue must emerge in that glorious capacity of synthesis ...

Summary: Two writers agree to write each other's "autobiography" and a reader becomes obsessed with both or just one of them. A man mentally writes his Tinder profile while a girl tells him about death and the horrible secrets that things are told. The "great Chilean poet" destroys a hotel room in Germany and offers his interlocutor a life lesson. A writer named "Patricio Pron" hires a handful of actors to "play Patricio Pron," with the catastrophic results that were to be expected.

The characters of What is and is not used will strike us down they have a glimpse of what a better life could be, and its intensity dazzles them. Vulnerable, perplexed, ridiculous, wise, they all return again and again to the possibilities intuited in that vision, convinced that if they do not take advantage of them they will be lost: what they find in doing so is chance, the lives of the writers as distorting mirrors, the opportunity to make a work of art out of your life, the need to disappear, to leave everything behind to be one with literature.
