In my time the novels of Michael Ende always ended up being the reference works in terms of juvenile fantasy. Today everything is more diversified and the innocent fantasy of Harry Potter intermingles with the sophistication of Twilight. Neither for nor against, just different.

So, in this panorama, it is always interesting to find a more purist work of the usual fantasy. The book The King's Cage takes up the usual formulas with which to captivate those little readers eager for great adventures adorned with the most elegant fantasy.

Mare Barrow is a princess who has lost her magic, or at least has relegated it to the background in front of her most tormenting reality. Mare is living through her nightmare of what she thought would be her princess dream. But her prince has only led her to the wasteland of her sadness. Without love, without adventures, in a kingdom quenched by laziness.

Meanwhile, Maven Calore, as the implacable and malevolent King of Norta continues to extend his realms of darkness further and further, to the ends of the world.

However, the spirit of rebellion still retains a small flame of hope. Prince Cal, who was stripped of his once kingdom, is gathering forces to fuel the Red rebellion, preparing an assault on power at all costs. Evil must be faced with strength and nobility, striking blow after blow until good reigns again.

Mare Barrow will discover in Cal the true prince, not only of the kingdom but also of his heart. With him you can once again have the opportunity to love again in a new world. And he will do everything on his part to make it so, recovering his brilliance, that of his powerful ray.
