A new trip to the idealized New Zealand of the writer Sarah lark. Nothing more exotic for a European than the very antipodes. A setting that Christinane, the author behind the pseudonym, discovered with fascination and that so many times she has transformed into a setting for her novels.

In this new installment, the lucky character of Sarah Lark is Stephanie. She is a journalist in Hamburg, where she lives far from the shadows of her past. In this situation we know the woman devoted to her work and her routines, with that kind of lattice that prevents us from looking back.

Only that no past can be abandoned when we prepare to take stock of who we are. Stephanie's vital account is in debt. Fears and misgivings have helped build that hideaway in Hamburg. But the time has come.

Forgetting can be an exercise in selective memory. But that forgetfulness is a trap for Stephanie. In his past he could get a lot from teaching, from strength, if he had faced it with a point of greater courage. And yet it is never too late.

Sometimes we should learn to live with our essence in the way that other cultures more accustomed to life do, such as the tragic and the comic in full integration with the being and the environment. When we return to nature to breathe its air we can reconcile ourselves with everything.

The Maori culture, from the great ocean archipelago, has much to offer Stephanie on her journey towards reconciliation. But also, freed from self-imposed stigmas, our protagonist will open up to love in the first instance and to a multitude of extremely full emotions.

Away from the noise, freed from that feeling of dependence on the anonymity of the big cities, Stephanie finally finds herself, in an introspection that also helps the reader to delve into her own sensations.
