The 3 best films by Javier Gutiérrez

I don't know what the hell Javier Gutiérrez has, but he always ends up convincing you to the core in the role of whatever character. Of course he is not a heartthrob who covers up his acting shortcomings with an easy wink at the camera that obfuscates the viewer on duty. In Javier there is no trap or cardboard. Either he manages to blend in completely like a chameleon to assault us with his performance or he would not have reached the interpretative heights that he already reached a long time ago.

And there Javier remains among the most recognized Spanish actors of today and filming as if there were no tomorrow. Surely another physicist would have taken him to Hollywood. But since there is no silver lining, keeping him here means that he will continue performing productions made in Spain, which, although they do not guarantee special effects, end up compensating in the plot, which is what a good movie is all about.

The author

AVAILABLE ON ANY OF THESE PLATFORMS:

You have to strip naked down the hall if you have to. The question is to find that great story that leads to glory for the author who is known to be loaded with wit. Only that the blank paper insists on obscuring any hint of creativity.

Comedy moment aside, this is a suspense film only comparable to another of the great Spanish thriller films of recent years, "While You Sleep", by louis tosar. We return to the author to discover how his life is going to ruin. Because the great author must mortgage everything, sell off life and family if necessary. Glory awaits at the most unexpected moment.

To narrate how life goes by, since nothing really memorable happens in his imagination, the author pulls the strings of what happens around him. In his community of neighbors there is a lot of unspeakable secret, a lot of vice and many broken relationships from which to extract that raw existence that moves the final reader. Only the biggest plot twist awaits him, like a final knockout he couldn't have imagined himself.

Home

As crazy as great. Because certainly nonsense is life sometimes, or almost always. One is developing his spider web, the framework of his life and his prosperity. Only sometimes the fabric entangles and confuses. It is then that one discovers that he can also be a victim of his dreams waiting for the final attack.

But in those moments Javier is not going to falter. He will continue to stand his ground until the brilliant madness that pushes him to recover what was his. There is no worse defeat than assuming that his place is no longer his place. That his home is only a vague memory.

And the worst of all is that the memory makes him even more sad because the life he lived was never what he wanted. What better time to put it all back together than now? Once stripped of the smallest drops of reason, Javier can reinvent his life with the aroma of a sophisticated perfume advertisement, with a symphony of lies and betrayals, with traces of Greek tragedy, where the hero can only be him. If he is capable of planning his revenge on the world as God intended.

Champions

AVAILABLE ON ANY OF THESE PLATFORMS:

I had to name her. Because it's an easy plot for an entertainment movie. But Javier Gutiérrez masterfully commands a team of true champions in the final result of a touching, comical and ultimately lucid film.

To dignify difference is to naturalize it. Each of the boys under Marco's orders has special things about him. And Marco, a renowned basketball coach, couldn't even imagine everything he was going to learn.

And no, he doesn't stay with his team of disabled kids forever. As soon as he can, he recovers his dream of training professionally. But the teaching was there. And although we will never know it, Marco surely began to be a better coach than ever.
