Unfortunately about the apocalypse as an attack of the viral invisible enemy it is no longer a matter to be dealt with only from fiction. Cuddling up on the sofa to see or read how our civilization is ending can be a matter of watching the mid-afternoon movie or leaning out of the window, to your liking. The dystopia it approaches as it could not be otherwise. Because trusting that the human race would be able to reach the horizon of the utopian is truly heartwarming optimism.

So Glenn cooper he has thought of going into the matter as a form of escape. What happens is that, paradoxically, posing evil as a placebo for evil works. It is something like the joy of one who watches the neighbor on the second floor burn from the balcony of the room ...

After years of research, Dr. Steadman is about to savor success and be hailed as the creator of the Alzheimer's cure. It matters little if to get there he has run a huge risk that could end humanity. Their negligence has caused a mutation of the cure into an extraordinarily contagious virus that devastates the memory of the victims and leads them to a terrible state of utter helplessness.

A global catastrophe. In a few days, millions of people around the world lose their memory due to an unknown and highly contagious virus. Without memories, men and women behave like animals, driven by hunger and fear. Cities are on the brink of collapse, without electricity, running water, or food. Only a few seem immune to contagion and take refuge in their homes, waiting for a miracle.

Jamie Abbott, a neuroscientist who has participated in the research, embarks on a long journey with his daughter, one of the first infected, to collaborate on an effective cure that can stop the pandemic.

The world has become an inhospitable and very dangerous place, Dr. Abbot's only hope is that there is still someone out there who remembers what it is that makes us human. Because when all the certainties fade and memory evaporates, it is necessary to join forces and act before civilization becomes a clean sheet.
