Juan Rulfo: writer, playful and hiker

The writer Juan Rulfo gave the impression of being a serious and reserved man, but behind that image there was a playful and affectionate guy, fond of tobacco, hiking and classical music, say his family and friends on the centenary of his birth.

Severiano Pérez Rulfo describes his uncle as a man with a lot of humor, who liked to make jokes when they lived together in his house in Tonaya, a municipality in the south of Jalisco where part of his family settled, or visited him in the house that the author had in Mexico City. Pérez Rulfo, son of the writer's older brother (1917-1986), still lives in Tonaya, a place that the author of Pedro Paramo He used to visit and it appears several times in his work.
