When you experience a war, you do not always escape it by leaving the conflict zone. In the aseptic consideration of this last term, other concepts existed before such as: house, childhood, home or life ...

Heda left her home or conflict zone accompanied by her family. The promise of a peaceful life seemed the solution to all his problems. But the future is a mass of rusty memories, prolonged towards the ultimate future: death.

Because there are people who wander dead in life, zombie souls who will never be able to feel any affection again. Heda's family environment accompanies her melancholic evolution around the world. His entire family, his father, mother and brother are just the physical appearance of what was once his home.

Europa, as a narrative work, approaches Heda and the rest of the characters from a hermetic perspective. Some characters stranded by pain cannot openly present themselves with their sorrows and their hopes. Their souls are closed or broken, they act like alienated beings, and only in a few moments is there a sense of humanity. Enough so that the character in question awakens a singular brilliance, providing sensations multiplied by its simple but eternal radiance.

That the narrative conveys so much hidden pain is an achievement that only a good pen can achieve. Getting to understand Helda, mimicking her tragic existence justifies all reading.

On the surface, the novel speaks of the great problem of refugees, of what it means (and we do not always understand) leaving your home. Guilt, hatred and mistreatment rains on these condemned to emigration.

Everything that is to read to empathize with the concrete cases, within the generality, can only do good in the reader. Perhaps instill other feelings to understand what it means to leave your home.
