Everything we are and how we behave may be something already written. Not that I got esoteric, or anything like that. Quite the opposite. This book talks about Science applied to reality.

Somehow, the script of our lives is traced in that more than probable anticipated destiny incorporated in the genes. The propensity, the tendencies towards one aspect or another of the physical or the emotional depend to a large extent on the genetic load of each one. To the point that we can consider our DNA as that dictator indicated by the author, or perhaps a kind of book that, although not completely written, contains a great variety of alternative endings.

Ale is the character of this study. An ordinary guy that Miguel Pita subjects to the third scientific degree. Ale remains unarmed by the various onslaught of an author who insists on showing us how little room for maneuver we have, be it in the choice of socks with which we leave the house or the person we fall in love with.

The question is to get to decipher if our consciousness of freedom in many facets of life is really conditioned so markedly by what that mysterious protein chain has written in a kind of atomic, nuclear destiny.

Reading this book is extremely interesting. Science encompasses a molecular knowledge of ourselves as individuals. If we really are free or if we are absolutely predictable in so many physical or emotional aspects is a question that always favors empiricism.

So we have no choice but to acknowledge it. As if we were children who discover that the Magi were our parents, now we learn that Fate is our genes.
