The 3 best books by Hans Rosenfeldt

One of the parts of the tandem has become loose and has begun to pedal independently. I mean a Hans rosenfeldt taking a detour towards new literary paths already separated from michael hjorth. And, as I suspected, four-handed literature is either a forced marital understanding or simple business. And one way or another, the issue of writing in the end points to the natural ego in search of vindication, freedom or whatever you want to call it.

And so we find what is predicted as a great saga, the Haparanda series, of a Rosenfeldt delivered to the most disturbing noir, the one that confronts us with the play of light and shadow of the northernmost Europe. There where the meager rays of the sun awaken telluric energies unsuspected by other latitudes.

Rosenfeldt has given a twist to the entire previous argument developed jointly with Hjorth. And when you want to let go, you have to be decisive so as not to succumb to commonplaces or second chances that reveal you doing the same thing that you stopped doing with full conviction.

At times Tarantinesque but always perfectly balancing intrigue and spurts of blood. Everything to appease readers who are precisely looking for the complete, the dark action and the headaches ... Rosenfeldt bets heavily on its new protagonist Hannah Wester with the promise of gruesome cases and surprising sets ...

Expendable dead

In anticipation of what is new to come out of the Haparanda series, we return to Rosenfeldt's shared novels with Hjorth. And this is the best that both gave birth ...

The dead person is always the greatest source of evidence to elucidate the crime, but it can also be the murderer's trophy or someone whose life, work and testimony can put someone who can commission his death in trouble. When it is impossible to determine the identity of the deceased, opt more for the third option.

In the mountains of Jämtland, two women make a macabre discovery: the bones of one hand stick out of the ground. Local police arrive at the crime scene and find not one, but six bodies; between them, that of two children. All were killed by a gunshot to the head. There are no witnesses, there are no leads and no one has reported a disappearance… When Torkel Hölgrund's team goes to the scene to take over the investigation, everything gets complicated.

Criminal psychologist Sebastian Bergman torments everyone with his personal problems, once again causing tensions to rise. The case turns out to be a much more complex puzzle than they had imagined. The identity of the victims is an enigma and when, in the end, Bergman delves into the clues and manages to pull the thread, the Secret Service suddenly appears to file it. Someone in high places wants to cover up these deaths at any cost ... But will they stop Sebastian Bergman?

Unspeakable silences

The multiple murders, of relatives for a greater tragic-macabre point, always offers more plot juice to make the reader move from one hypothesis to another. Clues can appear where you least imagine ...

The point is that a family appears completely murdered in their, until the moment of the crime, peaceful home. As I say, after the fatal outcome, everything points to a sinister character who haunted the family with his predictable and macabre intentions. But when the circle closes on him, the potential murderer appears murdered. When a story becomes disconcerting, that is when the character must stand out with his great virtues.

Sebastian Bergman, criminal investigator, must travel the darkest paths of the human psyche to find some light to illuminate the case. Of course, a genius like him has his edges, the eccentricities of Sebastian Bergman bring a point of personality to the plot, with a brutal weight of this psychologist who ends up fascinating the reader for his methodology but also for his intelligence.

In any case, Sebastian may not be prepared to seek the solution through Nicole, a girl, niece of the murdered family. Probing minors was never his specialty. What seems like a minor task turns into arduous work. The well-known risk that runs the slightest urges for the investigation to be clarified. Sebastian will be driven to give his best in a dark maze where anything can happen.
