The 3 best books by Robert Dugoni

Only a giant like Amazon can afford the luxury of converting itself into an international publisher to introduce a multitude of authors to readers in other languages from very different countries, before the publishing labels study the lesser or greater viability of the landing of the writer on duty. .

Robert Dugoni is just a clear example. The Amazon Publishing bestsellers They come from the emerging authorship of the desktop publishing platforms themselves or in interesting and recognized voices in their countries, waiting for this great platform.

And of course, in the same way that Netflix or Amazon Video make their series and movies exclusive, Amazon Publishing closes ranks on the works of its authors, even favoring free reading for the modest price of the monthly subscription to Amazon Kindle Unlimited (since so many readers have their Kindle reader from Amazon, with this they add and add virtues ...)

In the case of the American Dugoni, his dizzying pen is already unleashed in a variety of series and independent books that are published almost immediately in a multitude of languages. Inspector Tracy Crosswhite's series is the most recognized in Spain. But there is much more Dugoni to enjoy, and not just the black gender, suspense or legal thriller ...

Goodfellas

If things were not started better from the beginning, I would say that this novel is the best in the Crosswhite series. In the end everything is personal impressions. But the point of tragedy, of the difficult assumption of the most inopportune misfortune awakens that reading thirst for justice that predisposes me to point to my favorite work.

And in the end the plot points to something much more serious, with overtones of powerful mafias infecting even the army, with the danger that this can entail...While investigating the death of a child due to being run over, homicide inspector Tracy Crosswhite discovers with Surprisingly, the suspect serves at the local naval base. Sam's extraordinary life

It was time to change the register. Challenge that every writer should face sometime in his career, no matter how small or successful it may be. Robert Dugoni faced the blank page in search of something new to tell beyond the usual suspense of his plots. And boy did he find it ...

In general, we tend to think that we are all normal, that we move between average behaviors and thoughts. And yet, when we find a child like Sam, protagonist of everything eccentric that the world can be, we end up identifying because in the end we are all very different, strange and unfathomable in our emotions and reactions.

Sam has a different look from other children: affected by ocular albinism, his eyes are red from birth. His mother attributes it to divine will, a poor consolation for someone who must endure with resignation being called Sam Diablo by his classmates. Despite everything, he wants to believe that it is God who sends him Ernie Cantwell to become the friend he so badly needs; and to Mickie Kennedy, who lands at school like a tornado and destroys all his conceptions about boys and girls.

Over the years, Sam stops believing that the world is the product of an inescapable destiny, just as the tragedies that forced him to leave his friends, his city and his life cannot be. Faced with his past, he will undertake a long journey, but this time he will do so with eyes wide open to see what made him change and defined him as a person.

  1. Your book, "The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell," consumed my mind, body and soul for 3 days. The only reason it took 3 days is that I'm 79, move a little slower, have a husband who just had a small stroke, have my family for dinner every Sunday, and just life in general with things to do. It ranks as one of my 3 favorite books! You managed to touch my inner self, and for that I thank you. Nothing like a great book !!
